In loving memory of Leroy Edwin Schmidt.
Leroy was a hardworking man with a heart as bold as his humor — raunchy, real and unforgettable. He lived life wide open, whether he was racing his car down the track, wrenching under the hood or trying his luck at the casino. Leroy’s grit, laughter and fierce love for his family defined him, and those lucky enough to know him will carry his spirit with them always.
Leroy was never short on personality — or punchlines. He had a way of lighting up a room with his one-liners, and two of his favorites will never be forgotten: “I wish I was born rich instead of so damn good looking,” and “Something’s gotta kill me, and it hasn’t been a jealous husband.”
His words, like his memory, will live on in the stories we share and the laughs we still hear in our hearts. He was one of a kind, and he will be deeply and forever missed.
