In Loving Memory of Jean Audrey Swann: 1930-2022

Jean Audrey Swann, age 92, passed away peacefully Nov. 20, 2022. She was born Sept. 11, 1930, in Chehalis, Washington where she grew up. 

She is preceded in death by her partner of 38 years Johnnie Thompson; parents Melvin and Clara Dunn; brothers Joyce Dunn, Wayne Dunn and Russell Dunn; and sisters Virginia Franks, Dorothy Knaggs, Lucille Strong and Elma Holycross.  

Jean is survived by her brother Ronnie Dunn; her three children Linda Rose and husband Roger of Chehalis, Chris Swann and wife Lizabeth of Puyallup and Joan Perkins and husband Stan in Bellevue; grandchildren Chad Tucker, Andrea Walker, Amanda Stark, Kyle Swann, Cory Swann, Miles Perkins, Chase Perkins and Emma Perkins; great-grandchildren Chandra Tucker, Kaitlyn Tucker, Bryce Tucker, Cadence Tucker, Landen Tucker, Camille Tucker, Lukas Stark, Cole Stark, Kenna Stark, Nathan Swann and Penelope Perkins; and great-great-grandchild Nova Riley. All of these she loved and touched deeply.  

Jean enjoyed gardening, canning, knitting, crocheting, bowling, her pinnacle card playing group, watching the Seattle Mariners, collecting bells, watching game shows, celebrating birthdays and holidays together, and shopping at Walmart. She also enjoyed watching her grandchildren’s sports and other activities. Her favorite colors were pink and purple. She worked seasonally making Christmas wreaths in Centralia and later worked for DeRosia Dental lab in Centralia. When she retired from being a homemaker she enjoyed traveling to Yuma, Arizona, for the winter months with her sisters and friends. She was the glue that kept her family together.
