In Loving Memory of Darlene Binion: 1953-2022

Posted

Darlene (Kricket) Joan Binion passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, May 27, 2022, at the age of 68. She was born on Sept. 10, 1953 in Centralia, Washington. She spent most of her life living in Lewis County, graduating from Onalaska High School.

Darlene has had several jobs over the years but most notably worked at Stanley’s Store in Ethel and Walmart in Chehalis, working in the deli, cashiering and finishing her time there working in the accountant office.

There was a short period of time when Darlene had to rely on the Toledo Food Bank; in return, she spent the last several years volunteering her time to help them out, giving back to the community. She regularly attended the First Baptist Church. She was a very giving, loving person. Anyone who knew Darlene loved Darlene

Darlene loved spending time with her kids, grandkids, brothers and sisters. She loved camping. She loved sightseeing. She loved the ocean, especially the Oregon coast; as a reminder, she had a lighthouse in almost every room of her house.

Darlene is preceded in death by her son Adam Allbritton; father Robert Binion and mother Maxine Wilson Binion; along with siblings Glen, Deloris Kinsman (Jim), Donald (Butch) Binion, and Dennis (Peanut) Binion. She is survived by her daughters Anne Bailey, Heather Hicks and Jillian Niles; siblings Richard Binion (Myrna), Rollin Binion Carol Binion Morrison (Bruce), Carl (Mort) Binion (Norma); 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and way too many nieces and nephews to even count.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. June 4 at the First Baptist Church in Toledo. A reception will follow. If you would like to help offset her final expenses, there will be a donation basket at the church, or you could send a donation to her daughter Jillian Niles at P.O. Box 565, Toledo, Washington 98591.
