In Loving Memory of Brenda Sump: 1941-2022

Brenda Sump was born in Plaquemine, Louisiana on Oct. 19, 1941 and went to be with the Lord on Sept. 9, 2022, in Spokane, Washington. She was surrounded by her family. 

As a young girl, Brenda moved to Texas, went to Smiley High in Houston and met and later married Robert Sump. They were married 62 years and had three children: Michelle (David) Zucati, Sherri (Ken) Dokken and Renne Franks. Brenda was blessed with four grandchildren, Jennifer (Joseph) Pirtle, of Palmer, Alaska; Aaron (Madison) Zucati, of Centralia, Washington; Steven (Dani) Dokken, of Spokane, Washington; and Elizabeth Dokken, of Napavine, Washington. She had 12 great grandchildren: Rome, Ian, Owen, Izabella and Emma Zucati; Isaiah, Kyle and Alex Dokken; Kyler, Ryland and Aspen Pirtle; and Wyatt Smith, who loved her beyond measure. She had three siblings Willam Luker, John Luker and Jody Cox, of Texas, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Brenda loved her family and they loved her well. Brenda and Robert moved to Republic, Washington in the 80s. She and Robert were active in the community and their church Liberty Baptist. She loved serving the Lord in any way she could up until her passing. Brenda was preceded in death by her mother Doris, brother William and sister Jody. Brenda had a sparkle and zeal for life and was loved by all that knew her. A celebration of life was held Sept. 11, 2022 in Republic, Washington. She will be missed. 

There will be no graveside service
