In Focus: Lewis County Hunting Highlights

Posted

While the warm weather and lack of moisture may have been a hindrance to Western Washington hunters early this 2022 hunting season, things got hot for the local modern black-tailed deer hunters Halloween weekend.

For the hunters that haven’t tagged out yet, there is still late season to look forward to in Western Washington. Late modern firearm season is Nov. 17 to Nov. 20. Late archery season for black-tailed deer is Nov. 23 to Dec. 31, though regulations vary by GMU. Late muzzleloader season is Nov. 23 to Dec. 15.

The Chronicle has started featuring photos and information from local hunts on Facebook, at chronline.com and in the print edition. To be included, send photos and information to news@chronline.com. Feel free to include extra information on why hunting or fishing is important to you, how you got started and any tips you have for fellow outdoor recreationalists.

Due to the abundance of submissions this week, we couldn’t feature all of the photos in Thursday's edition. Look for more in upcoming editions or see them all on The Chronicle’s Facebook page. If you have already submitted a photo and information and it's not published here, it will be included in an upcoming edition of The Chronicle.
