The skeletal remains of a man found in Olympia earlier this month have been identified by the Thurston County Coroner.
Jay R. Spadoni, 58, who has ties to Gig Harbor, was found about 11 a.m. Nov. 8 in a wooded area near the 1100 block of Pear Street Northeast, Coroner Gary Warnock said Tuesday.
The man's remains were found near a makeshift tent, he said.
To determine the cause of death, the man's remains will be sent to the King County Medical Examiner's Office so that they can be reviewed by a state anthropologist, Warnock said.
