Hope Alliance Invites Community to ‘Walk a Mile in Their Shoes’ on April 1

Posted

To raise awareness for issues surrounding domestic violence, abuse, sexual assault and other forms of violence, Hope Alliance invites community members to “Walk a Mile in Their Shoes” at Centralia’s Tiger Stadium on Saturday, April 1.

In addition to the one-mile walk around the Centralia track, the second annual event will include an Easter Egg hunt and an appearance from the Easter Bunny.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“Walk a Mile in Their Shoes” is free to attend, though volunteers will accept donations for Hope Alliance, a nonprofit serving survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse.

Attendees are encouraged to show their support by wearing teal.
