Another game, and another win for the Tenino boys basketball team, as the Beavers rolled to a 70-53 win over 2B Winlock Friday night.
The Beavers (3-0) were led by Takari Hickle’s 27 points, but got double figure scoring efforts from Austin Gonia (13 points) and Nah Schow (17 points) as well.
Winlock struggled out of the gate, scoring just four points in the first quarter, but dropped 19 points in the second quarter to get it closer, and scored in double digits in both the third and fourth quarter in strong offensive play. But the Beavers were stronger, putting together perhaps their best offensive performance of the young season so far.
The Cardinals were led in scoring by Payton Sickles 19 points.
Tenino will take on Columbia Adventist at home on Monday for their next game, while the Cardinals host Toledo on Tuesday.
