Layton Griffith finished his five-inning outing with 13 strikeouts and allowed just two walks to no-hit Morton-White Pass and was a catalyst in an 18-0 blowout C2BL win for Napavine on Saturday in White Pass.
The Tigers (12-2, 10-0 C2BL) scored at least three runs in four of the five innings. They broke the game open with five runs in the third and a seven-spot in the fourth. Jack Nelson and Tommy Deebach each had a double, two runs batted in, two runs scored and two walks.
Beckett Landram, Cal Bullock and Grady Wilson – Napavine’s 1-2-3 hitters – combined to cross home plate 10 times, notch five hits and record five RBIs. Bullock swiped three bases as Napavine took advantage of five MWP (0-12, 0-10) errors.
The Tigers face Toledo for the first of two games on Monday while the Timberwolves battle Toutle Lake on Monday.
