Gloria Jean Field (Lind) died Jan. 12, 2022, at the age of 70.
Born in Sacramento, California, in 1951 to Albin and Hattie Lind, Mrs. Field grew up near Arlington, Washington before settling in the Rochester area in 1981. While in Rochester, Gloria was an active member of the community, serving on the school board, volunteering for the PTO, and proudly graduating her three sons from Rochester High School. Her happiest working years were spent as secretary for the Grand Mound, Rochester, and Bucoda fire departments, where she loved her time spent helping the firefighters and EMTs. In her later years, she was a devoted daughter to Hattie and a happy traveling companion for her partner David.
Gloria is preceded by her husband of 29 years, Daniel Field, her youngest son Andrew Field, and her parents Albin and Hattie Lind.
She is survived by her sons Ryan (Paula) Grant and Paul (Melissa) Field; her grandchildren Kailey, Conner and Wyatt; and her brother Henry Lind.
At mom’s request no funeral services will be held. If you’re so moved, memorial donations may be made to either Medical Lake Dollars for Scholars to provide scholarships to graduating seniors, or your local branch of the American Cancer Society.
