Lewis County’s Noxious Weed Control department will be hosting free tansy ragwort disposals on Friday and Saturday throughout the county.
Loose tansy will not be accepted. The weed must be brought in bags. On Friday, June 17, collections will be held across East Lewis County at the following locations:
• In Randle at the Fire District #14 station, 9978 U.S. Highway 12, from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
• In Morton at the high school, 152 Westlake Ave., from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
• In Onalaska at the Fire District #1 station, 244 Carlisle Ave., from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
On Saturday, June 18, collections will be held across West Lewis County at the following locations:
• In Pe Ell at St. Joseph Church, 416 N. Main St., from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
• In Toledo at the ball fields, 5545 Jackson Highway, from noon to 1:30 p.m.
• In Centralia at Centralia Christian School, 1315 S. Tower Ave., from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
