Tenino Family Dental Center Will Buy Back Halloween Candy Through Nov. 8

Kids who donate their Halloween candy to Tenino Family Dental Center will receive $3 per pound of candy they donate through Nov. 8 as part of the business’ “Great Halloween Candy Buy Back.” Drop off donations at 872 Sussex Avenue East during business hours, 8 a.m, to 5 p.m. Monday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, and 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

 

Students To Host Oakville Candidate Forum Oct. 19

Oakville School District and the Oakville Chamber of Commerce will host a virtual Meet the Candidates event for Oakville mayor, school board and city council candidates at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 19 via Facebook Live. Community members are encouraged to submit questions for the candidates at https://form.jotform.com/212606589702055. Mr. Booth’s Contemporary World Problems class at Oakville High School will evaluate and refine the questions and present them to the candidates for response. Toledo High School Construction Update: Roof Has Arrived; Parking Lot Excavation Continues

Roofing materials for the Toledo High School have arrived and crews will begin work installing the roof once the weather cooperates, the Toledo School District announced on Wednesday. Excavation and regrading of the parking lot is also underway, as crews discovered fill and unstable soils that would shorten the lifespan of the asphalt.
