Lewis County Hospital District No. 1, which oversees Arbor Health Morton Hospital and associated clinics in East Lewis County, has announced new appointments on its board of commissioners.
The hospital district is governed by a board of elected commissioners. Each year, the board selects a board chair and board secretary. The district also assigns commissioner representatives to oversight committees.
The 2025 officers and committee representatives are:
• Board chair — Tom Herrin
• Board secretary — Wes McMahan
• Finance Committee — Van Anderson, Wes McMahan
• Quality Improvement — Chris Schumaker, Van Anderson
• Governance — Tom Herrin, Wes McMahan
• Plant Planning — Craig Coppock, Chris Schumaker
• Strategic Planning — all five commissioners
• Compliance Committee — Wes McMahan, Craig Coppock
• Arbor Health Foundation — Tom Herrin
• State Legislature Representative — Wes McMahan
In addition, Arbor Health medical staff elects a chairperson and secretary each year. For 2025, the medical staff chair is Dr. Don Allison and the secretary is Dr. Fabiola Puga.
