Breaking in a new-look squad, the Tenino girls tennis team won both of its doubles matches but fell in its singles to drop a 3-2 contest to Three Rivers Christian Thursday afternoon.
Tenino’s first doubles pair of Austin Johnson and Nicole Fralick won their first match of the season, 6-1, 6-1, and their second doubles team of Amelia Hayes and Alanna Cushing won their match in dominant fashion, 6-0, 6-0.
The Beavers singles teams didn’t fare as well, with top singles player Rilee Jones dropping a tight first set, 7-6 (7-4), before a 6-0 second set defeat. Second singles player Abagail Archibald lost in straight sets, 6-3, 7-6, and third singles player Kaycee Jones lost 6-3, 1-6, 6-0.
The Beavers host White Salmon for their next match on Monday.
