For the second time this season, the Napavine High School boys basketball team eclipsed the 90-point threshold and dominated Morton-White Pass en route to a 95-57 victory on Friday night in a penultimate C2BL contest.
Up by just eight at halftime, the league-leading Tigers (17-2, 14-1 C2BL) exploded for 35 points in the third quarter and another 25 points in the fourth. They shot over 60 percent from the field and buried seven triples in the final 16 minutes.
Karsen Denault was a one-man wrecking ball for Napavine with 35 points and 12 rebounds, both game-highs. Beckett Landram added 17 points and Cal Bullock dished out six assists. Eleven of its 12 players that saw the court scored.
MWP (4-15, 3-12) at one point went on an 8-0 run, but never stabilized a spree into double figures. Judah Kelly once again was its leading scorer with a team-best 25 points, 12 of them coming from the charity stripe. Noah Troy added nine points and Sebastian Gonzalez chipped in eight.
The Tigers and Timberwolves close the regular season on Monday night against Winlock and Adna, respectively.
