Darrell Romine : 1947-2021

 Darrell Eugene Romine was born March 18, 1947 to Frances Mae (Smith) Romine and James Eugene Romine. Darrell went home to be with the Lord on May 14, 2021. Darrell was the first of seven children in the Romine household. He was born in Smithville, Okla., at home. Darrell met and married his wife Dianne (Smith) Romine in Haafway, Ore., on June 3, 1967. He was preceded in death by his father and mother and brother James Dwain Romine. He is survived by his wife Dianne of 54 years; two brothers, Dennis Dale Romine, of Texas and Donald Edward Romine of Port Orchard; three sisters, Beverly Ann Romine, and Karen Lynn (Romine) Jackaway, and Pamela Sue (Romine) Weichel; numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; even a few great greats; sister-in-law Shirley Anne (Smith) Taylor and brother-in-law Michel Blair Taylor; and many cousins. He is also survived by his and Dianne’s son Timothy Allen Romine who married and added to their family Leslie Ann (Grant) Romine, and Nicholas Grant and gave them a granddaughter Valerie Lynn Romine in April 21, 1996. 
fiHe raised killifish as a hobby for many years, was an avid train watcher and photographer, and was a writer and played the guitar. He enjoyed gardening and recently wrote some romance stories. He is also well known for his Sasquatch stories. He leaves behind many wonderful memories with friends and family. He will be missed by many. 
There will be a memorial held for him on July 18 at Claquato Cemetery, at 2 p.m. in the afternoon. Anyone and everyone is invited to attend. We will gather at Darrell and Dianne’s home afterward for a potluck. All are welcome to attend. Our home address is 18616 Loganberry St. SW Rochester, Wa 98579.
