For the first time as a program, the Tenino boys golf team had a golfer advance to the second day of the 1A District Golf Championships Monday at Tumwater Valley Golf Course.

The top Beaver golfer all year, David Dallaire carded a 93, a couple strokes ahead of the cutoff and tied in 12th place currently, to live to golf another day and hope to make a run at an elusive state bid.

Behind him, Preston Snider was next best for Tenino with a score of 101, and Jaxson Gore, Carson Hart, and Easton Snider all carded a 107. Ethan Baxter was the final varsity Tenino golfer, and he shot a 115.

Dallaire will tee off tomorrow at 11:40 p.m. at Tumwater Valley in hopes of improving his score and making the state cutoff.
