Centralia Masonic Temple 100th Anniversary Celebration
May 14 at Centralia Masonic Temple, at North Pearl and Magnolia Streets in the historic district of Centralia; 2 p.m.
The Centralia Masonic Temple has reached the century mark. Since the Masonic Organization still owns the building and Freemasons continue to meet in the third-floor Lodge Room, Washington Freemason Grand Master MW Cameron Bailey will rededicate the cornerstone of the temple. The ceremony will take place by the temple’s Magnolia Street entrance. That section of Magnolia will be closed to traffic for the event. The public is welcome to come tour the building and enjoy refreshments after the rededication ceremony, which is a Masonic tradition.
Cruzin' To The Museum
May 14 at the Lewis County Veterans Memorial Museum, 100 SW Veterans Way, Chehalis; 3 p.m. until dark
This is an event produced and sponsored by the Veterans Memorial Museum. It is open to all car clubs and individuals. All types of cars are welcome to participate. There will be live bands, prizes, trophies, a monthly costume theme, contests, food trucks, vendors and, of course, acres of vehicles. Another factor will be when the sun goes down a drive-in movie will show. The event runs every second Saturday of the month through August.
