Adult Lego Club 

March 1 at the Juice Box, 216 S. Tower Ave., Centralia; 7 p.m.

Adults can come and build while having drinks.

 

Lewis County DUI Victim Impact Panel

March 2 at the Lewis County Courthouse, 275 W. Main St., Chehalis; 6 p.m.

Registration begins at 6 p.m. and the program starts at 7. Cost of attendance is $45 cash. Attendees are asked to bring their IDs and case numbers. An ATM is available. The program is about 90 minutes long. 

 

Centralia Point Assisted Living and Memory Care Ribbon Cutting

March 2 at Centralia Point Assisted Living and Memory Care, 2010 Cooks Hill Road, Centralia; 2 p.m.

Attendees can tour the newly renovated Assisted Living Community and the new secured Memory Care Unit. Owner Terri Waldroff and Director of Operations Nanette Wilkins will be available to meet. Refreshments will be provided and there will be a raffle drawing. 

 

Acoustic Music Jam

March 3 at Faith Baptist Church, 436 Coal Creek Road, Chehalis; 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The Washington Old Time Fiddlers Association will be hosting an acoustic music jam. The jam is free and open to the public. All ages and abilities are welcome. You do not have to be a member of the Washington Old Time Fiddlers to attend. For more information, call 360-791-5185.

 

McFiler’s Chehalis Theater Ribbon Cutting

March 3 at McFiler’s Chehalis Theater, 558 N. Market Blvd., Chehalis; 5 p.m.

The public is invited to the Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting ceremony for the McFiler’s Chehalis Theater. Owners Tim Filer, Eddie McNally and Patrick McNally will be present. Complementary popcorn, a special events menu and a drink tasting menu will be available. 

 

Chehalis Basin Film Festival

March 3 at the Centralia College Transalta Commons, 600 Centralia College Blvd., Centralia; 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Free film festival that includes Question and Answer panels. Films will highlight salmon, beaver and amphibians as well as local habitat restoration projects. 

 

Burger and Brew Night Fundraiser

March 4 at Bub’s Pub, 1326 Harrison Ave., Centralia; 4 to 6 p.m.

This event is to raise money for the Centralia High School senior prom and graduation. There will be a $20 burger basket with fries and a beer with $10 going to the fundraiser. 

 

Learn Run                                       Serve



March 4 in Centralia; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This is a free training for first-time candidates running for local office. Attendees can learn about building a platform, what to run for, how to file, voter outreach, campaign finance and more. Guest speakers include former Washington Secretary of State Kim Wyman, Lewis County Auditor Larry Grove, former member of the White Pass Board Joe Fenbert, former state Rep. Richard DeBolt, Chad and Coralee Taylor of the Silver Agency and Brittany Voie of Voie Hype. The event will be hosted by Centralia Mayor Kelly Smith Johnston and Port of Centralia Commissioner Julie Shaffley. To register, email learnrunserve@gmail.com. 

Lego Club

March 4 at the Vernetta Smith Chehalis Timberland Library, 400 N. Market Blvd., Chehalis; 2 p.m.

There will be legos to play with. Children must be accompanied by an adult. 

 

Free Tax Service

March 8 at the Mossyrock Grange Hall, 152 Isbell Road, Mossyrock; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This event offers free volunteer income tax assistance for seniors and those with low incomes. 

 

Dodgeball Tournament 

March 10 at NW Sports Hub, 701 Allen Ave., Centralia;  6 p.m.

This fundraiser is to help raise money to help fund free events for Lewis County children and families, provide scholarships, and support youth programs. Five players per team with a $500 entry fee. Sign up at https://www.kiddinaround360.com.

Pet Treat Tasting

March 11 at the Tractor Supply Company, 1050 NW Maryland Ave., Chehalis; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This event will give pets the chance to sample a variety of pet treats available at the Tractor Supply Company. Attendees will also have the chance to have their pets vaccinated. Teh veterinarian will be available from 1:30 to 3 p.m.

 

Cornhole Tournament Fundraiser

March 11 at Dick’s Brewery, 3516 Galvin Road, Centralia; 11:30 a.m.

Entry is $25 and there will be a random drawing to determine teams. Top three teams will receive prizes. There will be five rounds of cornhole and a silent auction. 

 

Ladies Night by Gemini Events

March 11 at Vintage Grand Room, 545 N. Market Blvd., Chehalis; 3 to 8 p.m.

Those 21 and over can come get a drink from the champagne bar at the Vintage Grand Room during which there will be a shopping experience featuring over 20 vendors. Once finished, participants can grab a map listing participating businesses offering special deals and explore the businesses of Downtown Chehalis. The event is free but drinks must be purchased. Proceeds from the bar will be donated to the United Way of Lewis County and Experience Chehalis.
