Napavine Funtime Festival 2021

July 17

• 7 a.m. until around 11 a.m. or until sold out, breakfast at Independent Order of Oddfellows Trinity Rebekah Lodge #179, 111 W. Washington St. $10 per plate for biscuits and gravy with sausage. Bazaar/flea market until 3 p.m.

• After breakfast, car show sign up in front of Annie’s Napavine Country Market, 114 Alder Ave. NW

• 11 a.m. – Parade (signups start at 10 a.m.)

• After parade – games, concessions, car show and other potential events.

The Funtime Festival is still in need of volunteers for this year’s event. For more information, talk to Jerry Owen at 360-520-4960

Fords Prairie Grange  Open for Seniors

Wednesdays at the Fords Prairie Grange at 2640 Reynolds Rd, Centralia; 10 a.m. to noon. 

The Fords Prairie Grange will open weekly on Wednesday mornings for senior citizens through the end of August at no cost. Gatherings will include coffee, cookies and space to share in conversation or activities.

 

Movies by the Dashboard Light — Gone in 60 Seconds

July 17 at the Veterans Memorial Museum, 100 SW Veterans Way, Chehalis; 9 p.m.

This outdoor movie event was postponed from June 26th to July 17 due to the extreme heat wave. First come, first serve, admission is by donation. 100% of proceeds will go toward the Veterans Memorial Museum.

 

‘The Six’ Performance and Virtual STP

July 17 at Thorbeckes Wellness Center, 91 SW. Chehalis Ave., Chehalis; 1 to 7 p.m. Band starting at 4 p.m.

This stationary outdoor bike ride, beer garden, vendors and musical performance event in lieu of the Seattle-to-Portland bike ride will be put on by the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce and Thorbeckes Wellness Center. Register at chamberway.com.

 

Tenino Oregon Trail Days

July 23 to July 25 in Tenino; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Black powder shoot and pioneer rendezvous, rock and gem show, parade, craft vendors, Tenino Farmers Market and Pioneer Village with free family activities at Tenino Depot Museum.

 

Packwood Airport Fly-In

July 24 at the Packwood Airport; All day.



Shirts will be sold, proceeds will go toward airport upkeep.

 

Friends of the Winlock Library Book Sale Fundraiser

July 24 at 300 NE First St., Winlock; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Books will be sold by donation. Proceeds will go to the Winlock Timberland Library. Call 360-785-3461 for more information.

 

Paint Night by Joan and Sue’s Art Classes

July 29 at the Morton Moose Lodge, 102 First St., Morton ; 6 to 8:30 p.m.

Paint your very own masterpiece.

The theme of this paint night is “Great Catch.”

Lintott-Alexander Park Benefit Party

July 30 at Lintott-Alexander Park, 1101 Riverside Road W., Chehalis; 5 to 8 p.m.; RSVP at chehalisfoundation.org/party-in-the-park-2021/.

The Chehalis Foundation will host a “Party in the Park” to raise funds for repair and maintenance of the Lintott-Alexander Park. Entrance is $50. This event is already fully funded by a foundation donor, so 100% of the proceeds will go to the budget for the park.

Attendees can enjoy beverages, appetizers, activities and music.

AUGUST

United Way Annual ‘Power of the Purse’

Aug. 3 at The Barn on Jackson, 3605 Jackson Hwy, Chehalis; 4:30 p.m.; Tickets must be reserved at lewiscountyuw.com/power-purse.

United Way Lewis County hosts this event to celebrate the power of women who support the community. Single tickets cost $50, a table for eight costs $500 and includes the company/host name on display. This year’s event will feature a raffle of purse packages and accessories, the presentation of the “Woman of Distinction Award,” appetizers by Joy’s Once Upon a Thyme and more.

 

Free Concert

Aug. 8 at the Tenino Quarry Pool; 1 p.m.

The Olympia Symphony Orchestra will perform a mix of patriotic and Americana songs inside the drained Tenino Quarry Pool kiddie area. The concert is free to attendees, who are encouraged to bring their own seats and umbrellas for shade.
