Columbia River spring Chinook salmon anglers will have another few days to fish with an extended season, increased bag limits and expanded fishing areas.
Oregon and Washington managers met Wednesday and approved an extension of spring salmon fishing from its previous closure on June 12 to June 15 (Father’s Day), and expanded the boating deadline in the lower Columbia River from Beacon Rock to the Bonneville Dam deadline, starting Friday.
Also beginning Friday, the bag limit will increase below and above the dam to two adult hatchery chinook daily.
The previous limit was a single hatchery chinook per day.
