The Toledo Timberland Bank was robbed Friday.

Law enforcement call logs show personnel from the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office, the Winlock Police Department and the Chehalis Police Respondent responded to the robbery on Ramsey Way at about 6 p.m. The bank is open until 6 p.m. on Fridays.

According to Toledo Police Chief Sam Patrick, the vehicle used in the robbery is in the possession of law enforcement officials and the suspect has been identified.

He credited employees at the bank for remaining calm.

“To the citizens, yes the bank had a robbery,” he wrote. “Due to the calmness of the staff (still scary for them) no one was injured. With the help (of) some Toledo citizens, I want to thank them and the rapid assistance of the LC Sheriff’s staff, Winlock officers and Chehalis K9. We have the vehicle used in the robbery and currently looking for the person who we have identified as the suspect. It is community partnership with local law enforcement that keeps our community safe.”

The identity of the suspect was not provided.
