A nationally-known tournament, the Age Group Regionals Championship is a major event for swimmers. The event in King County hosted 77 swim teams from 13 different states.

Olson earned fourth place in the region in the 13-year-old 50 and 100 meter freestyle races, ninth place in the 13-year-old 200 meter freestyle race, and also qualified for senior sectionals and the 2023 zones team.

“Addi is a true competitor and she loves to race,” Poseidon Aquatic Club head coach Audra Evans said in the release. “This meet was a testament to the time and hard work she has put in. I am extremely proud of her and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.”

According to the release, Olson plans to continue competing throughout her high school career with the Poseidon Aquatic Club. Her coaches expect her to continue honing her swimming skills as a student athlete.
