Cutting the cheese, in this case, has far from stinky implications.

Cooper Cummings, a 2023 champion of Gloucester, England’s “Cheese Roll” competition, a race down steep terrain behind a wheel of cheese, will be in Napavine at the Tumac Taproom on Aug. 5 to cut open the 7-pound wheel of cheese he won from the event.

The event will begin in the evening around 5:30 p.m.

Tumac Taproom will provide crackers and cheese from around the world in celebration of the event. Cummings is the second American male to win the cheese roll and did so clad in a Seahawks jersey.

The taproom is at 109 E. Washington St., Napavine.
