Centralia Man Arrested for Alleged Controlled Substance Homicide in Chehalis

A Centralia man was arrested early Thursday morning for his alleged involvement in the overdose death of a 45-year-old woman in Chehalis. 

The victim’s name has not been released by the Chehalis Police Department pending notification of her next of kin. 

Lewis County Dispatch received a call at approximately 1:14 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 19, from a male subject requesting assistance in the 1500 block of North National Avenue for a woman who was unconscious and may have ingested a controlled substance, according to a news release from the Chehalis Police Department, which responded alongside the Joint Narcotic Enforcement Team (JNET). 

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Chehalis Police Department. 

Investigators soon identified Ronnie P. Wilson, 36, of Centralia as a person of interest and placed him under arrest. 



Wilson was booked into the Lewis County Jail at 5:45 a.m. on Thursday for controlled substances homicide. 

He had not been formally charged as of Thursday afternoon.

The case is still under investigation. 

“Due to the nature of the investigation, no further information is being released at this time,” wrote the Chehalis Police Department in a news release.
