The Centralia girls basketball team couldn’t keep up with Lakes on Thursday in a 66-43 loss in its first matchup at the second annual Tiger Classic.

Brooklyn Sprague had 11 points to lead the Tigers, while Makayla Chavez and Payton Baumel both scored eight.

The Tigers only trailed by three points after a quarter, but the Lancers went on a run in the second, going into the break up 32-20 thanks to a hefty helping of transition buckets off of turnovers.

Centralia has two more tournament matchups, facing Fife on Friday and Yelm on Saturday.
