After graduating from Centralia High School in 2021, and taking a year away from school to recharge, former soccer standout Taylor Smith has signed with South Puget Sound Community College to play soccer this fall.
Smith was a four-year varsity starter for the Tigers and played mostly on the backline and midfield, and while taking a year away from school, competed with Twin City Union FC.
The work paid off with Twin City Union, where she got a call from SPSCC coach Becca Mader and committed to the school three days later. SPSCC is debuting its first women’s soccer team this fall under the first-year head coach.
Smith worked with coaches like Saint Martin’s Heather Cato and current Centralia girls soccer coach Noel Vazquez while at TCU.
