The Centralia girls basketball team suffered its second straight loss on Thursday, falling to Hoquiam 55-41 to drop to 3-3.

The Grizzlies pulled away by outscoring the Tigers 35-19 in the middle two frames, and Centralia wasn’t able to get back within striking distance.

Maddie Ahern led the Tigers with 16 points, while Brooklyn Sprauge scored 11 and Makenzie Erickson scored six. Emma Ferch and Ayana Saucedo both added four.

Centralia will play just one game over the winter break, when it hosts Fife on Friday, Dec. 27. After that, the Tigers will open league play at home against Aberdeen on Tuesday, Jan. 7.
