The Centralia College men’s and women’s basketball teams both lost at home on Thursday, falling in both halves of a doubleheader against Green River.
The women held a slim lead after one, but were outscored the rest of the way in a 70-56 loss.

The women (7-16, 4-6 NWAC) still remain in control of the fourth and final playoff spot from the NWAC West Region, as they are a game up on Highline with two games to play.
The men’s team (2-24, 1-11 NWAC) went into the locker room down just three and led early in the second half, but Green River pulled away for a 75-65 win.
Clay Morgan led the way off the bench with 15 points, including four threes, and Shay Brannon scored 14 and grabbed 10 rebounds. Kevin Williams scored eight points and logged 11 assists, and Quinton Robinson added eight points of his own.
Both teams will be back in action on Saturday in Olympia, where they’ll take on South Puget Sound in another doubleheader.
