Cardinals stuffed by Chinooks in league setback

Posted

Kalama scored in every inning, multiple runs three times, as it cruised by Winlock 13-0 in five innings on Monday night in a C2BL contest in Winlock.

The Cardinals committed five errors defensively and notched just three hits at the plate, two of them by Emilio Martinez. Of their 17 at-bats, they struck out 12 times and worked a four-ball count once.

Three runs in the top of the first pushed the Chinooks ahead early. They upped the cushion to 5-0 after three innings, then four runs each in the fourth and fifth put the game out of reach and enacted the run-rule.

Winlock will head to Kalama on Wednesday and face Toutle Lake this weekend in league play.
