Winlock fell behind big early and Wahkiakum raced to the finish line as the Cardinals suffered an 80-21 defeat to the visiting Mules in a Central 2B League game on Tuesday.
Wahkiakum’s Brodie Avalon led all scorers with 17 points as the Mules broke off a 32-4 run to start the game. Winlock, meanwhile, was held to single-digit scoring in all four quarters and struggled to find the bucket.
The Cardinals were led by Payton Sickles’ team-high six points, while Isaac Ramirez chipped in five and Chase Scofield added four.
Winlock (0-13, 0-4 C2BL) is still searching for its first win of the season and hosts Adna on Wednesday.
