Winlock trailed by 13 at the half but couldn’t cut the deficit all the way in the second half in a 63-54 defeat to visiting Onalaska on senior night Friday.

It was the final home game for Cardinals seniors Isaac Ramirez and Caleb Richendollar.

But it was the Loggers who bested the Cardinals for the second time this season, the first being a buzzer-beating 3-pointer.

This time, Mason Ulery erupted for a game-high 27 points for the Loggers, while Blaze Underhill added 12 and Kole Taylor chipped in nine.

The Loggers shot 21 of 53 from the field, including 14 of 20 from the free throw line.

Winlock, meanwhile, was led by Chase Scofield’s 19 points, while Payton Sickles added 17 and Richendollar pitched in 12. The Cards shot 16 of 45 from the field and 16 of 27 from the charity stripe.

Winlock (0-16, 0-7 C2BL) will go for its first win when it travels to Mossyrock for a 1:30 p.m., non-league matchup at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

Onalaska (3-10, 1-5 C2BL) hosts Mossyrock at 5:45 p.m. Monday in a non-league contest.
