Cardinals Claim Doubleheader Win Over Chinooks

Winlock’s offense was humming in both games Thursday as the Cardinals captured a doubleheader road victory, 13-5 and 14-4, over Kalama.

In Game 1, eighth grader Cali Geehan earned the win on the mound while also putting up an impressive hitting performance, going 3 for 4 with a triple and four RBIs.

Addison Hall was 3 for 3 with a walk, Maia Chaney was 4 for 4 with a double and six RBIs and Natasha Patton went 3 for 3. Kindyl Kelly was super patient at the plate, walking four times and swiping three bases.



The Cardinals got another big-time performance from an eighth grader on the mound, with Storm Kenee earning the win.

At the plate, Kelly was 2 for 3 with a walk, a triple and three RBI, while Jadin Landry and Kyndra Forler each went 2 for 2, and Josalynn Shepardson was 2 for 2 with a walk.

Winlock next hosts Adna in a Central 2B League matchup on April 11.
