Another game, another high-scoring output from sophomore guard Dilyn Boeck. The W.F. West star canned five 3-pointers in the third quarter and another early in the fourth for a game-high 25 points in the Bearcats’ 69-25 win over Aberdeen on Wednesday night in Aberdeen.

It sets up an Evergreen Conference showdown with Class 3A Shelton on Friday night with both teams still unblemished in the league.

“Our girls are excited to have an opportunity,” W.F. West head coach Kyle Karnofski said.

Out a couple players that forced some changes in the rotation, the Bearcats (13-1, 3-0 EvCo) still managed to build a 32-7 lead entering the locker room. They erupted for 29 points in the third to put the game out of reach.

Senior Julia Dalan recorded 24 points while Grace Simpson added seven. Karnofski was pleased with Amanda Bennett, Madi McManus, Ellie Clinton and Simpson for thriving in different roles.

“We settled in a bit,” Karnofski said. “Started playing within ourselves and having a little confidence.”
