Bobcats Keep Warriors Quiet

The Rochester girls basketball team never got up to full speed offensively Monday, falling 45-31 in a 2A EvCo matchup against Aberdeen.

The Warriors stayed in the single digits in three of the four quarters, and scored 10 exactly in the third. Roisin Stull led the hosts with 11 points — and added 12 rebounds for a double-double — while Mandy Andree-Cordell pitched in 10 points, seven rebounds, and six steals.

Aberdeen’s Madi Gore nearly equaled the hosts by herself, racking up 29 points.

We had trouble with turnovers, where a lot of Gore's points were off turnovers,” Rochester coach Davina Serdahl said. “She has quick hands and is athletic and lengthy, a good combination that we did not handle well.”

Rochester will continue its week in league play at Tumwater on Wednesday.
