The Centralia men’s basketball team hung around for awhile, but couldn’t keep up with Lower Columbia in an 86-63 loss at Myklebust Gymnasium in Longview on Wednesday.

After falling behind by double-digits early, the Blazers came back midway through the first half and even took a brief lead at 30-29, but the Red Devils ripped off a 17-4 run to end the half to get back in control going into the break.

LCC never looked back, getting its lead to 20 points at the 7:37 mark of the second half and keeping it there the rest of the way.

Trevion Frazier led CC with 20 points and four rebounds, while Raymond Guillory had 13 points. W.F. West alum Kayden Kelly scored four points and added four assists, four rebounds, and two steals to his line. His former teammate in Chehalis, Carter McCoy, came off the bench for LCC and posted a 16-point, 11-rebound double-double for the Red Devils.

Centralia will stay on the road, hitting up Green River on Saturday.
