Earning its second win of the season, the Centralia College men’s basketball team defeated Treasure Valley on the road Friday night, 83-72.

The Trailblazers fell behind 38-27 at the half, but scored 56 points in the second frame to pull away for their first road win of the season.

“We started making layups,” CC assistant coach Joe Chirhart said. “We missed 10-12 layups in the first half. The second half we just buckled down and focused on making all of our layups. We played really well in the second half. It’s always nice when the shots go in from outside, but we got it inside in the post, and did a great job of not allowing second chance rebounds and shots.”

Adrian Brown led the way, scoring 23 points on 10 of 16 shooting from the field, all off the bench. He was joined by Wendell Davis Jr. in double figure scorers off the bench, with Davis Jr. chipping in 13 on 6 of 8 shooting.

The starters weren’t too shabby either, with Raymond Guillory adding 17 points with eight rebounds and five assists, and Bryce Cline scoring six points with nine assists and nine rebounds. Back from an injury to start the season, Josh Ivory also did a good job of holding the Chuks to only one shot and letting guards rebound around him.

The Trailblazers take on Peninsula on Saturday at 4 p.m. at Lane College in Eugene, Ore.
