Blazers Drop High-Scoring Showdown With Gators

The Centralia College men’s basketball team saw its opponent soar into triple-digits for the second straight game, falling in Auburn, 108-83 to Green River.

Adrian Brown led the Blazers with 23 points and Raymond Guillory came in right behind at 22, with Claudell Quinland Jr. scoring 14 and Trevion Frazian adding 10 off the bench.

Green River, for its part, had five players in double figures, and three more come in on nine. The Gators hit 50 points in both halves, and hit the century mark with over two and a half minutes left in the game.

Early on, the Blazers outshot their hosts, leading 35-30 11 minutes into the night. Green River took the lead with 6:55 left in the first half and never gave it back, going on a 15-3 run in the last four minutes of the quarter to go into the locker room up 55-43.

Centralia is set to wrap up its regular season on Wednesday, at Pierce College.
