Blazers Can’t Complete Comeback in Loss to Raiders

Trailing by double-digits for most of the second half, though the Centralia College men’s basketball team made it a game late, couldn’t come back in a 90-86 loss to Pierce at Michael Smith Gymnasium at home Wednesday night.

The Trailblazers (4-17, 2-5 NWAC West) made 9-of-17 3-pointers in the second half alone to mount the comeback, led by a 29-point effort from Raymond Guillory off the bench. Adrian Brown also scored 25 of his 27 points in the second half, off the bench.

But some first half turnovers, and an early run to start the second half for the Raiders, did the Blazers in. It’s Centralia’s fourth-straight loss.

Juelz Mendoza went 7-of-10 from the field for 16 points and had a team-high nine rebounds for the Trailblazers.

The Blazers return to action against Grays Harbor next Wednesday in another home battle.
