The Centralia Community College girls basketball team fell behind, and couldn’t mount a comeback bid against Umpqua Community College Saturday night, falling 75-66 at home.

The Trailblazers (3-4) shot just five of 27 from three-point land and struggled on the glass, giving up second chance points for easy buckets against the Riverhawks.

Centralia also shot poorly from the field, making just 38% of its shots, to the Riverhawks 42%.

The Blazers were led by Shaunacee Davis’ 17 points, with Allison DeBerry (11 points), Najahia Forks (11 points), and Paige Winter (10 points) also scoring in double figures.

Centralia CC plays Shoreline next on Sunday, continuing the Blazer Classic at home.
