The Rochester softball team exploded for 11 runs in one inning, and rolled to a five-inning win over Shelton on Monday, 14-1.

The Warriors led 1-0 by the end of the first inning, after a sacrifice fly by Macey Fluetsch. In the second, Rochester put two runners on with two outs, before having 10 straight batters reach safely, with four singles, a double, three walks, and two errors making it 12-0 before the Highclimbers could get back in the dugout.

Jessa Lenzi went 2 for 3 at the top of the Rochester order, with a double, two RBIs, and four runs scored. Layna Demers logged a hit, two walks, and two RBIs at the plate, while allowing just one unearned run in four innings of work in the circle.

Every single Rochester starter reached base and came around to score at least once on the day.

The Warriors will host Tumwater on Wednesday.
