Tenino was unable to keep up with Montesano, falling 198-245, in a home meet Tuesday at Tahoma Valley Golf Course in Yelm.
Dave Dallaire led the Beavers with a 53, Ethan Baxter shot a 48, Preston Snider a 61, Noah Pye a 73 and Jacob David a 73. Junior varsity player Kaiden Lindholm shot a 69.
“Today we didn’t play very good,” Tenino coach Del Sandberg said. “We had a long layoff over the weekend.”
The Beavers last regular-season match of the season is at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday at Tahoma Valley Golf Course in Yelm. Baxter and Dallaire need to shoot in the 50s to qualify for districts.
