Bearcats Rally Late to Beat Aberdeen

The W.F. West baseball team found its offense late in the Harbor, taking down Aberdeen 8-2 in a 2A EvCo party.

The Bearcats finally broke a 0-0 deadlock in the top of the fourth when Ross Kelley singled home Weston Potter. That sparked the Bobcats to finally get something off of Hunter Lutman in the bottom of the frame, but W.F. West came back with four in the fifth, then scored three more in the top of the seventh.

Kelley and Braden Jones both had two hits for the Bearcats, who had eight players combine four 11 hits. Lane Sahlin went 2 for 2 with a triple, and also walked.

Lutman got two quick outs in the bottom of the seventh before running into a bit of trouble and giving up two runs before hitting his pitch count. Waylen Land came in with the bases loaded and retired the first Bobcat he faced to end it.

W.F. West will get the Bobcats at home Wednesday.
