The Adna volleyball team attended the Freeman Volleyball Tournament this past weekend, and the Pirates took three of the five three-set matches they played.

In pool play, Adna lost to Lakeland (Idaho 4A) 19-25, 25-20, 6-15, before beating 4A Lewis and Clark 25-14, 25-22 and 4A Moses Lake 25-23, 25-22.

In bracket play, the Pirates let one slip away against Lewiston (Idaho 5A), falling 25-23, 11-25, 15-17, before ending the weekend with a 25-12, 25-17 win over Timberlake (Idaho 4A).

“The tournament was a great experience for the team to see what we need to do to get to the next level of play,” Adna coach Wendie Dotson said.

The Pirates will head east again this upcoming weekend, when they’ll take on Brewster and Manson on Saturday at Manson High School.
