The Adna girls basketball team’s tough non-league slate continued on Friday, and the Pirates came away with another impressive victory.
This time around, they took down 1A Cascade Christian 61-31.
Adna took control early and never looked back, opening up a 25-point lead at halftime, and the Pirates extended it to 34 before the fourth quarter.
“We played a pretty solid first half tonight,” Adna coach Chris Bannish said. “I thought we shared the basketball well.”
Karsyn Freeman finished with a game-high 26 points, and Danika Hallom added 14. Both of them grabbed four steals, while McKenna Torrey had a team-high seven rebounds to go with her four points.
“Torrey rebounded the ball really well for us today,” Bannish said.
Gaby Guard added nine points, while Kendall Humphrey and Bailey Chapman both scored four. Chapman also blocked five shots and hauled in four rebounds.
Another tough non-league foe awaits the Pirates on Monday, as they’ll host 2A Ridgefield.
