Abbarno Asks Residents to Rank Legislative Issues by Importance

State Rep. Peter Abbarno, R-Centralia, has created an online survey asking constituents to select and rank their top seven legislative issues.

Citizens can take the survey through an online link or a QR code that takes them directly to his survey.

“A large part of my role as a state representative is discussing issues with the community and learning about what is important to them, their families and their businesses,” Abbarno said in a press release. “I am constantly soliciting people’s viewpoints through emails, meetings, virtual town halls and other methods. An online survey with the new QR code is a great interactive tool for people to tell me how they feel about the kitchen table issues that affect our communities and our families.”

Issues listed by Abbarno for ranking, from one as the most important to seven as the least concerning, include:

• Reducing my tax burden;

• Preserving my Second Amendment rights

• Addressing our local homelessness

• Reopening our schools

• Reopening our local businesses

• Protecting our environment; and

• Other (with the ability for citizens to write in their own answers).

“The best ideas for legislation and solutions to challenges in the Legislature comes from the people in the district. I invite all 20th District constituents to log on and take the short survey,” Abbarno said. “I really want to know what you think.”
