Napavine was unable to overcome a disastrous 50 unforced errors as Wahkiakum took advantage and handed the Tigers a four-set loss (16-25, 14-25, 25-22, 8-25) in Cathlamet on Tuesday in 2BCL action.

“The girls had no energy,” Napavine coach Monica Dailey said. “But our serve-receive looked a lot better than it has.”

Nikki Ahmann led the Tigers with four aces and 100% serving. Anna Thompson, Grace Gall and Emily Kang all had 100% serving on the night.



The Tigers struggled hitting the ball out of bounds or into the net, and couldn’t find their consistency, Dailey said. With the the fourth set tied 5-5, the Ducks ripped off eight-straight points to pull away for good.

Napavine falls to 1-4 overall and 0-2 in league. The Tigers travel to Toutle Lake on Thursday.
