2A Girls Hoops: Warriors Knocked Out by Wolves

Rochester couldn’t keep up with a well-oiled Black Hills team in a 43-26 season-ending loss in the opening round of the 2A District 4 tournament Monday.

Sofie Sand led the Warriors with 13 points and seven rebounds as Rochester started out well  early before the Wolves drilled four-consecutive 3-pointers to grab momentum for good.

“They shot well,” Rochester coach Davin Serdahl said of the Wolves. “Unfortunately, our seniors played their last game. I’m proud of them this year. Just fell a little short. They battled.”

Four seniors played their final games for the Warriors: Megan Elkins, Megan Haury, Madison Bates and Erin Brannon.

Rochester ends its season with a 6-7 overall record.
