2A Girls Golf: Tigers Bested by Highclimbers

Centralia had two double-digit scorers but were unable to keep up with Shelton on the road Thursday, losing 70-45 in 2A Evergreen Conference play.

Mazzi Nowicki had a team-leading 16 points for the Tigers, which tied for second among all golfers on the day. Maddi Stoeckler followed that up with 12 points, while Lily Miller scored eight, Zahira Ramirez had five and Elizabeth Orellana finished with four.



Shelton was led by match-medalist Taylia Budge, who led all golfers with 24 points. Kaia Joohnson had 16, Kate O’Keefe scored 12, Alena Hall had 11 and Clairee Waylett finished with 10.

Centralia travels to Tumwater for a 2A EvCo match on Monday, then finishes out the regular season with a home meet against Aberdeen on Wednesday at Riverside Golf Course.
