25-Year-Old Chehalis Man Airlifted After Crash on Airport Road Wednesday

A 25-year-old Chehalis man was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after he crashed into a guardrail in the 2500 block of Airport Road Wednesday evening. 

He was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was last known to be in stable condition, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. 

The incident was first called in at 8:36 p.m. and the sheriff’s office was dispatched at 8:37 p.m. alongside the Chehalis and Centralia police departments.  

When law enforcement arrived, the driver was unconscious and had to be extricated from the vehicle, according to the sheriff’s office. 



The cause of the crash is under investigation. 

Airport Road was closed for several hours Wednesday evening as crews extricated the victim, investigated the crash and cleared the scene. 

The Washington State Patrol responded alongside local law enforcement.
